Hillery Higdon has 6 half brothers & sisters. They are from the marriage of Robert Higdon to his 2nd. wife "Emilia/Emily Griffis", of Emanuel County, Georgia.

I was recently e-mailed outside of the message board, with an update of Hillery Higdon (b.10/16/1827,GA--d.4/1912,AL)and his father.
Only to discover he was not born in Alabama, he and his parents were from Georgia.
Further more, the information has put me ahead by 3 more generations, and to discover that Hillery is related to Samuel Terrell Higdon.
It is my understanding that Hillery's grandfather, Burrell Higdon, is Samuel Terrell Higdon's brother.

I have John Q Higdon in my records. He was married to Permalia Harton. I have their marriage record and a few other documents. I also have info on Robert, who was John's brother. I am really interested in getting info on Permelia Harton, who was John's wife.

I am stumped and have not been able to get beyond Hillery Higdon. His son is John Q. Higdon, b.1860;his son was John Darling (Doll)Higdon, b.10/5/1882; and his son (my father)Rayford R.R. Higdon, b.11/9/1932. They lived in Lamar, Fayette and Pickens Counties,of Alabama. If anyone has any info. please contact me.
